Obituary of Beatrice Aurea Robichaud

Beatrice Aurea Robichaud passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Rocmaura Nursing home surrounded by loved ones. Beatrice was born on July 20, 1925 in Baie St. Anne, NB to the late Henry and Osithanne (Durelle) Despres. She is pre-deceased by her husband Leonard Joseph Robichaud, brothers: Israel, Alonzo, Francis, Arcade, Aquila, and Joseph, sisters: Anida, Laurie and Clara and her furry companions Beau and Bijou. Beatrice is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Beatrice worked at the Fairport restaurant as a cook for many years, She was an avid Gardener, a long-time member of the Assumption parish, and the Legion of Mary. Her pastimes included watching Toronto Blue Jays, winning at 45's, and serving up some fabulous home cooked meals to her family. Beatrice is survived by her sons; John Robichaud (Donna) of Dieppe, NB, Paul Robichaud (Lori) of Saint John, NB, Frank Robichaud (Debra) of Saint John, NB, Daughters Sandra Lanctot of Ottawa, and Joanne Smith (Jeff) of Saint John, NB. She was lovingly known as "GOG" to her 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grand Children . Resting at Castle Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Avenue Saint John, NB 634-1701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning September the 16th from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. Following visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Assumption Church at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial at Castle Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.Castlefh.com. Donations to Bobby’s hospice or Rocmaura foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Rocmaura(Terrace Court) for the exceptional love, care and compassion shown to her during her time there.
