Colleen, I was sorry to hear of Verns passing, Even though I was in Sussex for almost 30 years it was only at Vernon seniors funeral that I had the opportunity to speak to Vern, My mom Jessie (Oakes) was Vernon Sr. first cousin... Please accept my deepest condolences... God Bless Steve

I did not know Vernon as much as I did Susie and Lorie as he was the "older" cousin. I do remember when I was in Junior High School at Princess Elizabeth School, he was in a band that played at our school dance. I thought that it was really cool having a cousin who played in a band. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Colleen and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Vernon's passing, we were great friends back in the 60's and I have many wonderful memories. I know he was not well but still a shock to read this morning's paper. My deepest sympathy to all.

I did not know him as much as his sisters but so sad for the family and I am sure he will be missed terribly and maybe if I lived in New Brunswick still I hope I would have seen him and the rest of his family sorry for you all
