Obituary
Obituary of Sharon Anne Tait
In Saint John, NB on February 10, 1942 I was born to Edmund and Halcyon (King) Mills. Known to everyone as Sharon Anne Tait and others, later in life, as ‘Mom’. I passed away peacefully in the same city I was born, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 26th 2019, surrounded by those I loved, my family. I worked and tended bar at the Carleton Curling Club where I was always willing to lend an ear to those who needed it. I formed so many friendships there that I am sad to leave behind. So grateful to Gerry, the father of our children, my Ya Ya Sisters, all my girlfriends and my baby girl Darlene. May they think of me when they have a glass of wine in my memory. I never felt alone because if I wasn’t out with them, I was in the company of a good book. My father, Edmund Mills passed before I did, as well as my sister, April Mills. I am survived by my mother, Halcyon Mills, loving sons; Gerry (Darlene), Paul (Lise), daughter; Susan (Stephen), grandchildren; Steven (Patricia), Michael (Molly), Michelle (Chris), Geoffrey (Mandy), Bradley and Taylor. My great grand-children; Brett and Julie, Lucas and Claire and Liam and Charlotte, cousin Ernie, as well as several nieces and nephews. So many people to thank! The nurses and doctors of the ER who took such great care of me. Dr. Le, Dr. Dolan. The Grand Bay-Westfield Fire Dept., EMT’s Vicky & Brittany, and my angels from Apheresis, Dr. Comeau, Stephanie and my niece Arlene, and of course my other angel in Heaven, Karen, who will meet me at Heaven’s Gate. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. As per my request to my family, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held. I would like donations in my memory to go to Bobby’s Hospice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com.
