Obituary of Elizabeth Askwith
Elizabeth (Anshutz) Askwith passed away peacefully on July 24, 2017, surrounded by her dear friends Marie, Elizabeth and Raymond. Elizabeth was born on March 8, 1926 in New York, NY to the late Charles and Helen Cramer. She enjoyed spending her days going for drives, watching movies, playing bingo and getting together with friends. She is survived by her son; Thomas Anshutz Jr. and daughter; Elizabeth (Harvey Willis). Five grandchildren; Kristin Zies (Michael Zies Sr.), Michele Taylor, Cassandra Taylor, Raymond Taylor and Tammi Drew, six great-grandchildren; Michael Zies Jr., Samantha Zies, Cody Drew, Kristina Drew, Stacey Taylor and Ben Fox, one great-great grandchild; Jackson Hood, and two nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, husband Edward Askwith, son Robert Askwith and brother Charles Cramer. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28th at 10:00AM at Fallsview Chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Garden Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Romero House, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.
