It’s with great sadness the family of Donald McGinnis announce his sudden passing on August 30th in Nova Scotia. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Lidstone) McGinnis for over 41 years. Donald was born on January 17th, 1951 to the late Francis and Theresa (O’Neil) McGinnis. Donald spent his career working as a teacher in District 8 and was very active at SJ High School where he taught for many years, retiring in 2015. He was a faithful Westsider giving back to the community by coaching Lancaster Basketball. Donald was a giver to his family and friends and enjoyed a good debate.
