Obituary of David Patrick Kiervin
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of David Patrick Kiervin, husband of Lana (Reid) Kiervin on July 16, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 1, 1950 in Saint John, N.B., David was a son of the late Gerald P. and Dora E. (Byers) Kiervin. David retired from provincial Corrections after 32 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved spending time at the camp hunting and fishing. David is survived by his beloved wife, Lana (Reid) Kiervin, son, Scott (Karen) Kiervin , granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Meghan, and Emma, son, William (Bill) (Jillian), brothers, Paul (late Murielle) Kiervin, Ken (Nancy) Kiervin, sisters, Elizabeth (Kevin Brown), Claire (Larry) Gautreau, aunts, Doreen McCarthy and Betty Kiervin, several nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends. David was predeceased by his parents, and sister, Judy Dunnington. Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. As per David’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from St. Peter’s Church at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens following the Mass. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
