Obituary of Mary Bernice Webb
It is with broken hearts the family of Mary Bernice (Evans) Webb, widow of James A. Webb (2013) wish to announce her passing on Friday February 12, 2021. Born in Saint John in 1929, Mary Bernice was a daughter of the late John Wilson and Glady’s ( Wilcox) Evans. Mary Bernice graduated from Saint John High School in 1946, then became a Registered Nursing Assistant and had worked at the old General Hospital, the DVA, and the Saint John Regional Hospital during her nursing assistant career. She was a long time member of the Carleton Curling Club, she and her husband travelled extensively and spent a lot of time with the Luxor Shriners. Mary Bernice’s quick wit and mischevious smile will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mary Bernice is survived by three sons, Dr. G. Robert Webb (Cathy) of Saint John, J. Bruce Webb ( Linda), of Saint John, and Gary L. Webb (Jeannine), of Saint John, former daughter in law Carol, five grandchildren, Glenda Kusch (Cliff), of Vancouver, B.C., Adrian Webb (Min Huei) , of GrandBay, Vanessa Webb (Warren), of Oshawa, Ont, Jamie Webb (Kathleen), of Calgary, and Tony Webb (Rebecca), of Calgary, five great grandchildren, Coulson, Kiera, Everette, Anderson, and Fin, and several nieces and nephews. Mary Bernice was predeceased by her beloved husband James A. Webb, brothers, Gordon Evans, Eldon Evans, and William Evans, and one sister, Beatrice Whiting. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634 1701). A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2021 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Due to Covid- 19 restrictions, Please wear a mask, only 25 people max. A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext.
