Obituary of James Stewart Irving

It is with great sadness that the family of James Stewart Irving announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 30th 2020 with his wife at his side. Jim was the only child of Hazel and James Irving of Fairville. Jim leaves behind his wife Penny (Nason) Irving 2 daughters Krista Irving and Kimberley (Aubrey) Hallis and Grandchildren Ella, Sophia and Maya Larsson and Elias and Isaac Hallis all of Calgary AB., step-son Art (Joanne) Hovey and step-grandchildren Christopher and Chelsea Hovey of Saint John. Special friend Jason (Angie) webb and sons of Poodiac and Molly dog and serveral cousins, where Jim and Penny spent many happy summers at their trailer. Jim was predeceased by a step daughter Melissa Hovey. Jim was a veteran serving 28 years in the Canadian Army (R.C.E.M.E) He was a member of Legion #69 and ex-service man lunch crew. The family would like to thank the legion staff and members and the lunch crew for all the calls and support. A special thank you to Larry Lynch and Lorraine and Donna Middleton for always being there. A special thank you to 4CN-4AN and palliative care for the exceptional care given to Jim. You are all very special. As per Jim’s wishes there will be no visitation and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to #69 Legion or donors choice. An interment will be held on Friday September 4th 2020 at 10:30AM in Greenwood cemetery Sand Cove Road.
