Obituary of Marjorie Jacqueline Campbell

Marjorie Jacqueline (Boudreau) Campbell passed away peacefully with her family at her side on December 21st, 2019 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home in Saint John, NB. Born June 16th, 1926 in Plaster Rock, NB to the late John and Mona (Green) Boudreau. She grew up in Hoyt, NB and was the wife of the late Kenneth (Ken) Campbell. Marjorie was affectionately known as Grammie Campbell to her family as well as her community. She had a heart as big as the countryside and her family came first. She prepared great dinners. Holidays had the whole family around her table and there was always room for one more. She was an active in many clubs and was a long-time member of St. George’s Church. When she wasn’t travelling around the world, she could be found bowling, gardening or winning at cards. Grammie Campbell was a true matriarch and the last of her family line. She will be greatly missed. She survived by son; Rick (Ann) Campbell, daughters; Jacqueline (Paul) Price, Paula (James) Maher all of Saint John, NB, daughter-in-law; Gesine Campbell of Ottawa, ON, grand-children; Andrew (Michelle) Price, Ken (Paige) Campbell, Heather (Hollie) Blakney, Samantha Higgins, Angela (Joe Crouse) Campbell, Joshua (Ellen) Maher, Kyle Maher, all of Saint John, NB and Jeffrey (Jenna) Price of Halifax, NS, 19 great grand-children, several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband Ken, she was pre-deceased by brothers; Joe Boudreau, John Boudreau, Maxwell Boudreau, sisters; Faye Boudreau, Nellie Perry, Helen Gordon, Marie Harrington (Campbell), Olga Dunham, Patricia Campbell, son; Robert Campbell, grand-daughter; Brittany Maher, great-grandson; Tristen Higgins. The family wish to thank the staff of The Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home, for their excellent care of Grammie Campbell during these last few years. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd, 2019 at 12 noon from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow at Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
