Obituary of Corinne Audrey Cecilia Neill

Audrey Neill, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday January 25, 2019 at her Shannex Home in Millidgeville. Corinne Audrey Cecilia Creasor was born in St Boniface (Winnipeg) on October 21, 1930. Audrey shared her many talents and gifts with others; from entertaining and gourmet cooking to sewing to being the caregiver to many. Trained professionally as a secretary, she loved working in the insurance business for many years until Audrey met the love of her life Tom and started her marriage journey with him in June 27, 1959. She dedicated her life to her husband Tom and family and when her children became adults she studied Music at McMaster University and became a successful real estate agent. Her love for Tom and adventures took Audrey to many new places for life experiences with family and new lifetime friends: from Kenogami in Northern Quebec to Grand Falls Newfoundland, then Oakville Ontario and finally Saint John (to be proud West Siders). Her life embraced new experiences with Tom: To sailing in the Atlantic Ocean and many adventures off the beautiful bays and coasts of Newfoundland; learning to ski in her fifties; to exploring the world. Audrey is survived by her daughter Margret Kennedy (Adam) and son Eric Neill (Alexandra); her four grandchildren Addison and Curtis Kennedy, Benjamin and Jacob Neill. Her care companion of three years, Shawn White, was Audrey's best friend and so much more. Her love filled the void in Audrey's heart after her loss of Tom and they developed such a special bond. Our family would like to thank Shawn for her exceptional care and devotion to Mom. Our family wishes to thank all the wonderful care-workers and palliative team at Parkland Shannex for their ongoing care during the last two years. The exceptional palliative team helped Audrey with genuine care and respect up to and including her end of life wishes. Audrey and Tom loved the ocean as they did each other and will continue their adventures on the sea.
