Obituary of John Charles Osborne

It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Charles Osborne announce his sudden passing at home on July, 28, 2020. John was born on July 11, 1951 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia to the late Clyde and Martha (MacDonnell) Osborne. John’s father was in the Black Watch so, growing up John lived in many parts of the world. Eventually his parents settled in Sheffield, NB where they purchased a farm; he had many fond memories there. John was a roofer for many years and worked for many roofing companies in Saint John . He raised German Shepard's and loved music . John was loyal, dependable, calm and strong . He always had his friend’s backs, no matter what they knew he would be there. John loved motorcycling, he was a member of the STOMP for 17 years and it was a great part of his life and he lived for every second of it. John always loved a good time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends Rob & Maureen ,signing ,partying and living life to the fullest ! In his younger years John was a bouncer and was a proud member of the Reserves. John is survived by his children; Shauna, Jason and Jennifer, sisters; Ruth Osborne, Patsy Osborne and Linda Goodine, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, girlfriend Barb Hamilton, ex-spouse Joyce Osborne, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Elmer Osborne and grandchild Daytona Williams. In memory of John we would ask anyone attending the funeral to please wear their STOMP gear or Black & Orange if possible . Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Vistation will be held on Thursday, August 13th , 2020 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. A Memorial Service will follow in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 12:00 Noon, with a reception afterwards in Castle Funeral Home. * Please be advised due to covid-19 the reception is limited to 50 people.* In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
