Born April 30th, 1947 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Daniel and Christena (Dickson) Baird. An avid outdoorsman, Harold was known to friends and family as the animal whisperer. His kind, calm and gentle spirit made everyone around him feel at ease. You could find Harold hunting and fishing with friends or behind the pages of a book, but he always felt best at the lake. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Harold was predeceased by Brothers; Norman (Carol) of Coles Island, and Donald ‘Donnie’ (Sandra) of Saint John. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John (634-1701) with visitation on Friday, August the 25th from 7:00-9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday August the 26 at 10:00 AM from Castle Fallsview Chapel. A reception will be held at Castle Fallsview Reception Center.
