Obituary of Bernice Lorraine Comeau

Bernice Lorraine Comeau was reunited with her loving husband Orel Joseph Comeau on March, 20, 2020. Lorraine was born on August 9, 1929 in Saint John, NB to the late William and Florence (Morris) Burley. Lorraine truly enjoyed life; her grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved spending time outdoors in the sun; she could sit outside all day with her family, and liked a good tan. Lorraine loved her TV games; playing bingo, watching Jeopardy and The Price is Right. She also liked watching hockey, Toronto Maple Leafs were her team and she would always catch the Seadogs Games. Lorraine is going to be greatly missed by all those who knew her, she was a true westsider. Lorraine is survived by her children; Victor (Linda) Comeau, Orel “Boo” Comeau, Frederick (Carla) Comeau, Melanie (Floyd) Harris and Kathy (Mike) Garrett, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great- great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was the last surviving member of the Burley family, she was predeceased by her parents, husband, siblings and great granddaughter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital and Lorraine’s care givers. Arrangements have been entrusted with Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon. Donations in Lorraine’s memory can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Canada, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
