Obituary of John Medard Vautour
It’s with great sadness the family of John Medard Vautour announce his passing on October 22, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 22, 1937, to the late John Theophile and Marie Elizabeth Daigle Vautour. John was the loving husband of the late Shirley Anne (O’Brien) Vautour. John will be missed by his son Joe (Wendy) Vautour, daughters; Elizabeth McQueen (George) and Suzanne Daigle (Jim), brother Paul (Anne) of Moncton, sister Dianne (Ron) of Florida, brothers in law; George O’Brien (Eleanor) and Doug O’Brien (Ester), sisters in law; Dianne Bosence (Bruce) and Joan Ervin (Tom), 10 grandchildren; Brad, Adam (Ashley), Rick (Janelle), Emily, Ashley, Lindsay, Matthew (Ashley), Andrew, Beth Anne, and Justin (Danielle), 6 great grandchildren; Zach, Brooklyn, Reid, Grace, Theo and Charles, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, wife Shirley and brother J. A. Claude. The Vautour Family would like to extend their thanks to the exceptional care and compassion given to their father at the Saint John Regional in 4AN Transitional Care Unit. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 25th from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM at Castle Funeral Home. A Legion Tribute Service will be held on Thursday at 7PM at Castle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 26th at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Branch #69 on Wilson Street.
