Obituary of Lynn Cherie Hoyt

With broken hearts our family announce the passing of our cherished Lynn Cherie Hoyt, wife of the late John Hoyt on October 12, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1945 to the late Earl and Marguerite (Ewart) MacDonald. She leaves behind her legacy of love and caring and will be sadly missed by all those who loved her. Lynn is survived by her children Scott (Cheryl) Northrup of Prince George, BC; Craig Northrup of Saint John, NB and Barb McNally Northrup of Sussex, NB, and by the children who chose her Daryl (Cassidy) Northrup and Amanda Northrup of Grand Prairie, Alberta. She leaves behind her brother Richard MacDonald (Jane) of Saint John, NB and her sister Judy Murphy of Quispamsis NB and precious grandchildren, cherished nieces and nephews, in-laws and special friends. She will be especially missed by her beloved pets Taylor, Spencer and Punk. Besides her husband John, and parents, Lynn is predeceased by her sister Carole Marr and brothers Doug MacDonald and John MacDonald. Lynn graduated from nursing school as an RN in 1966 and besides raising her children was one her proudest moments. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 (506) 634-1701. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 1pm at Saint Columba Church on Manawagonish Rd.
