Obituary of James Rodney Linton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Rodney Linton. Jim was born September 29 1966 in Fredericton NB. James Rodney Linton passed away unexpectedly September 5 2019 at his residence. Jim as many knew him as, was a person who loved the outdoors. You could often find Jim at the park or in the backyard with his telescope looking at the stars and different planets. Jim was a great gardener and loved spending time planting and took great pride in the plants and vegetables that he grew. In the early years Jim moved to Toronto where he would find work and meet some amazing people who were very dear to him before moving back home here in August 2011. As many of you know Jim loved his sports and could sit and talk for hours about how the Toronto Blue Jay's were playing and about his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs. James (Jim) Rodney Linton is survived by his mother Mary (Terry Parlee) of St John NB, his daughter April Negus of Toronto, his sister Lori (Nick) Boyd of Sussex NB, Shelly (Richard) Zeuchner of St John NB, his brother Troy Linton ( Pam Mealey) of Blacks Harbour and several Nieces and Nephews and also his grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. At the request of Jim there will be no funeral or viewing arrangements, but a gathering with family to celebrate his many memories. James requested that his body be donated to science at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia.
