Obituary of Marjorie Marie Walsh

Marjorie Marie Walsh née Chamberlain passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John, NB on March 31, 2019. Born May 15th, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Burnette (Huard) and Clifford P. Chamberlain. Marjorie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grand-mother who will be greatly missed by her family. She spent much of her time volunteering for the Special Olympics; hosting, driving or working at the events. She loved to vacation and planned many of her trips around the locations where her family lived. She loved her many pets, most recently finding great comfort in Sadie, her adopted golden retriever. She is survived by sons; Daryl (Eileen) of AB, Ronald of NB, daughters; Susan Walsh (Gerry Keith) of NB, Sandra Mills (Neil) of NS, Patsy Craft (Jimmy) of NB, Mary-Beth (Greg) Merzetti of NB, brothers; Greg of OR, Lloyd of ON, Alan (Barbara) of AB, Christopher of AB, sisters; Clara Blake of AB, Mary Chamberlain of NB, Pauline (Bill) Taylor of NB and Patsy (Alan) Hopewell of ON., grand-children; Mark Walsh, Laura (Tim) Schnick, Tanya Walsh, Terri (Tom) Vaughan, Ben Keith (Katelyn Canam), Allison (Greg) MacDonald, Aaron Mills (Jessica Wickens), Jennifer Craft (Michael Northrup), Jeffrey Craft, Courtney Wilkins (Mike Adams), Shelby Wilkins (Scott Gallant), great grand-children; Zach & Ty Vaughan, Ryan & Emma MacDonald, Sophia Mills, Kylie & Hallie Craft, baby girl Gallant (in July), special niece and family; Jamie (Jeremy) McOuat and son, Kaimana. Along with her parents, Marjorie was pre-deceased by her husband; Frederick Walsh and sister in law, Ann. The family wish to thank the staff at Loch Lomand Villa, Dogwood House and especially attendant, Debbie. They also wish to acknowledge Anne McGuire, who was Marjorie’s special home maker before she went to the Villa. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. A visitation will take place at Castle Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, April 4 at 12:10 PM with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. All are welcome to a reception at Castle Funeral Home after the interment.
