Obituary of Joyce Thibault
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Joyce Thibault (Jordan) on Thursday July 26, 2018. Born in Brighton, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel May (Amon) Jordan. Predeceased by her two sisters, Christine Warren, Vera De Ambrose, and brother-in-law Ronnie De Ambrose. Joyce had worked for several years at the D.V.A. Hospital, then transferred to and eventually retired from the Saint John Regional. She loved playing darts as member of the R.C.L. Branch 69, and rummoli with life long friends for over 30 years. In later years she loved playing TV bingo, reading and spending many hours winning card games with anyone brave enough to sit at the table with her. A beloved Mother, (In-law), Grandmother, Great and Great-great grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her five children: Bruce (Lorraine), Brenda Gillis (Hughie), Lonnie (Laura), Harley (Nancy), Darlene Meagher (Doug). Nine Grandchildren: Stacey (Jason), Andrew, Angela (Tyler), Matthew, Jessie, Eboni, Jillian Jenna, and Josiah. Great grandchildren: Alecia (Charlie), Keltin, Isabella, and Kailee. Great-great grandchildren: Noah and Nevaeh. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John NB E2M2L3. (506)634-1701. In keeping with Joyce’s wishes there will be no visitation. The family would like to thank Castle Funeral Home for the care and support they’ve provided. Please join the family for a mass to be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on July 31, 2018 at 12pm, 360 Dufferin Row West Saint John. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Sand Cove Rd. A small Reception will be held at 190 Churchill Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Joyce Thibault to the Heart and Lung Association of Canada or to the charity of your choice.
