Obituary of Emilien Joseph Albert
Emile Albert, companion of predeceased Anne Bulgaris, died peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday June 24, 2025.
A long-time resident of the Saint John area, he was born on March 13, 1944, in Bathurst NB to the late Emile and Louisa (LeBouthillier) Albert. Emile moved to SJ back in the early 60's and started work with Atlantic Towing then got into construction for a period of time. He started his 3rd and last career with the City of Saint John back in June of 1985 and retired in April of 2009.
Dad's pastime was enjoying roaming about the city and spending time with his kids and his dog. He enjoyed working around his house and yard and enjoyed the lovely view from his home on City Line West, looking out at the Port City.
Emile is survived by his 3 children: Paul (Catherine) of PEI, Joanne (Roy) of Florida and Daniel (Melda) of Grand Bay; 3 grandchildren Aaron, Anthony and Jordyn; stepdaughters; Polly (Scott) Schoonbaert and Dawn Bulgaris and family; 1sister; Francine (Mike) Setchell of GrandBay and Jean-Guy (Line) of Saint-Simon and Brother - in - law; Eric Daigle, several nieces and nephews.
Emilien was predeceased by his parents; Emile and Louisa Albert, and one sister; Nicole Daigle.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John NB E2M 2L3 (506-634-1701). A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 1st, 2025, from 11am to 1pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 1:00pm. A reception will be held with light refreshments for those who wish to join us. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emile's memory can be made to the Saint John SPCA of the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com.
