Obituary of Brian D. Maxwell

With profound sorrow, the family of Brian D. Maxwell announce his passing on April 24, 2025.

Brian will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Ann (Henderson), his daughter Laura (Chris) and his grandson George.

Born in Saint John on November 24, 1952, Brian is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Isobel Maxwell. Brian is the eldest child and his absence will be felt by his brothers Bob (Mary) and Tom. He will also be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Karen (Scott) MacDonald and several nieces and nephews. His family will miss Brian’s sense of humor and his infectious laugh.

For many years Brian worked at CFM before moving to OSCO Construction Group prior to retiring in 2018.

Brian enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, spending many hours cooking for his family, playing cards, and conversing with friends and neighbours. Brian spent many happy summers at Crystal Beach and will be fondly remembered by his friends at the cottage.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. As per Brian’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. In lieu of flower’s donations in Brian’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
