Dear Valerie and family, I'm so saddened to hear of Stewart's brief illness and passing. Connie and I were great pals with Stewart and Stanley growing up... lots of fun times and fond memories. Dad loved Stew through years of baseball and we all had fond memories of him as your family grew.
Please know that we are with you in your grief and that we keep you in our prayers.
We hope to see you on the 19th!

Val and family, so sorry to hear of Stewart's passing. Fond memories of my cousin - I'll miss his incredible sense of humour and his welcome everyone I came by unannounced (from the time I was a teenager roaming the streets). I was so happy to be able to arrange an online chat between Stewart, Lynn, Brian and Grant with Terry and Sara Norton, our long lost Bristol cousins - after all Stewart's hard work in reconnecting with our British Home Child roots a while back. Our deepest condolences.

I was so surprised & shocked when I heard of Stewie's passing! I worked along with Stewie for a lot of years while working at SJ Energy & I don't believe there was a time that I didn't see either a smile or hear him chuckling. He was one of the best Pension Plan Reps...he loved it. And it was always a fun experience when we had a chance to have a big breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant, while some of the SJ Energy crew dropped into St. Petersburg to visit & share some "Meter Reading" stories & laughs!
My wife (Louise) & I send our condolences to Valerie & the family...our thoughts and prayers will be with you all in the saddened days ahead. Stan & Louise Steeves

My deepest condolences to all members of Stewarts family. I grew up in Belmont and have many memories of both Stewart and his brother Stanley. We shared so much over our formative years doing the things that all young boys do. He was a great guy and will be missed by many. I left New Brunswick after high school for work in Ontario and only came home over the years to visit family. Last June I attended a Ketepec School Reunion at the KBM and Stewie was there. Seeing him made my heart sing as it had been over 50 years since our last time together. We had a great talk to catch up. Over our life journey we make many friends but I believe that our childhood friendships are always the best. May he rest in peace and always be remembered as the good man he was.

It was brief yet intense and sweet camaraderie of kinship and bonding. The impression Stewart left on our hearts was deep and lasting. In that short encounter, it was clear we were in the presence of someone truly remarkable.
Stewart carried a warmth that reached beyond words, and a spirit that gently drew people in. There was something about him...his positive and cheerful disposition, even in the midst of suffering, that reminded us of life’s deeper truths.
When we learned about his health condition, he brought us to reflect on those truths more deeply: that joy can coexist with pain, and that resilience often shines brightest in life's hardest moments.
Stewart, thank you for the stories you shared, for the gentle wisdom in your words, and for showing us how to meet life’s challenges with grace and unwavering hope. Your courage and light will not be forgotten. You have now journeyed on to a place where there is no more pain, no more worry. Rest well, dear brother. You are free.
To dear Valerie and family, our prayers and deepest condolences.
Valerie, you were Stewart's steadfast partner and loving wife, standing by his side with grace and courage. We pray for the Great Spirit enfolds you now, bringing comfort in your sorrow, and strength as you celebrate Stewart’s life and legacy. He was a devoted husband, a caring father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and to us, a good brother and brother-in-law we will always remember with love.
May Stewart's memory be a blessing and his spirit continue to inspire.
In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God.

I am saddened to hear about Stewart’s passing . Known him it seems like forever. Played my Little League at the KBM , Stew played third, I caught and we picked off quite a few stragglers. Didn’t see a lot of him in last few years but was delighted when we had a chat and always left the conversation smiling . A quick story , women’s league , Grand Bay, pretty good ball and fun , Stew umpiring from home plate , Linda ( Maloney ) Webb hits a hard ground ball , running fast past second , Stew calls her out for shadowing second, Linda complains and a classic Stew line “ Linda you have been playing ball all your life and it’s about time you learned to touch the bag , You are out !” lol . Good memory. Good bye Gummy
