Obituary of David Samuel Badger

With family members by his side and those who could comfort in spirit from afar, Dad embarked on his new beginning March 26, 2025, completing his fulfilled life of 84 years. He was the son of the late Sam and Elizabeth Badger (Robertson) who predeceased him, as did his wife Valerie Badger (Griffith), in 1991.

His nonfiltered way will be missed by his wife Judy (Anderson) his children Tim Badger (Mary), Debbie Pearson (Roger), Susan Curtis (Grady), Tom Badger (Kelly), and stepson Gabe Ricketts (Bonnie). Survived also by his brothers Wayne (Peggy), and Robert, along with an incredibly adored collection of 14 grandchildren who he so loved, and they loved back… Melanie, Tammy, Ryan, Robbie, Heather, Glen, Brittany, Becky, Amanda, Chelsey, Chris, Brad, Lindsey, step granddaughter Natali. Along with 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Dad worked many years with Kimberly Clark, West Indies Paper Jamaica and Lake Utopia Paper, a father who worked tirelessly to provide for his “imperfect” family, supporting and guiding them through a lifetime of fun twists and turns, on our family rollercoaster ride with his unwavering love…” Mission Accomplished Dad!” Regardless of age or status, Dad was a friend of, and to many. Anyone who was supportive of his family was his friend also! If you are reading this message, this includes you. We have been fortunate to have cherished so many quality years of health and happiness with him, and to have observed his value of simplicity in pursuit of happiness and fulfillment of life, and his awareness and appreciation of all that surrounds, which becomes more glaring with age.

Heartfelt gratitude to doctors, nurses and care staff of 3BS of The Saint John Regional Hospital for their incredible care, kindness and compassion shown to Dad and our family members, along with friends who have provided love, comfort, and extended kindness toward him and his family.

A private family memorial and celebration of life will be arranged, as was his desire.

Donations in his memory may be considered for The Saint John Animal Rescue League, Bobby’s Hospice, or by the donor’s choice, as he would be pleased to know he may have had a continued hand in community, charitable support.
