Obituary of Christopher Lawrence Christiansen
Christopher Lawrence “Larry” Christiansen passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 15 2025. Larry was born on March 13, 1965 in Saint John, NB to the late John Doucette and Rita Christiansen.
Larry will be dearly missed by his partner Diane Haley Buckely, sisters; Gloria Wright and June Mackinnon, brother Jack Doucette (Brenda), brother-in-law Percy Smith, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents Larry was predeceased by his siblings Charlene Smith and Charles Christiansen and his wife Julie.
He was a proud member of the Carpentry and Scaffolding Union Local 1386. He found joy in cabinet making.
Larry was a kind and giving man, he was so soft hearted, he would cry watching sad movies. He loved going to his brother Chuck’s camp to fish and hunt but could never pull the trigger.
Larry had a love for motorcycles especially crotch rockets and a need for speed. He went riding every chance he got with friends.
Larry was a very sociable person and had a wonderful dry sense of humor that we will all miss. He always called everybody ‘babe’ male and female and got some strange looks from men when he did so.
Love and thanks to all of Larry’s life long friends aka the boys for always being just a phone call away. Frank Martin, Brian King, Peter Hamm, Glen Shonoman, Ray Hamm, Eric Martin, Ray Cormier, Rick Marks, Dave Boyer, Mark Teakles, Lester Shaw, Bruce Doiron, Brian Valardo and Peter MacDonald.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Castle Fallsview Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Larry’s memory can be made to the MS Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
