Obituary of Odele Mary Doucette

We mourn the passing of Odele Mary Doucette of Saint John NB on March 12, 2025.

Born in Richibucto, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Roseanne Doucette. She was predeceased by brothers Rene, Rubin and Wilfred (Jr.) as well as two life partners Eugene Bonnevie and Albert Beckingham.

She is survived by daughter Sherrie Calder and grandson Ethan, biological daughter Melissa Rolfe and granddaughter Ava, brother Firmin, other extended family, and many friends.

Throughout her lifetime Odele was well thought of by many.  She had a great inner strength and a big smile.  She was friendly and kind. She loved her family, her handicrafts and a game of Bingo!

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM and a remembrance will be held with her friends at Charleton Place Seniors Complex in Saint John, on April 4, 2025.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Saint John Accessible Transit Service (formerly Handi Bus). Odele truly appreciated this service which helps so many people live life as fully as they can.
