Dear, Rick, Yvonne and Suzanne,I was very sorry to hear about Allan's death. He was a kind, modest, loyal, intelligent and thoughtful friend. I always enjoyed his opinions on many subjects. I remember when we used to ride home from High School, after the people from Swan Creek, the Warren Road etc. had been dropped off, we Queenstown-Hampsteaders would all relax and stretch out on the bus, one person to a seat. Allan was usually the one to carry the conversation, be it about music or stuff going on at school. When he worked at the old Queenstown Industries building, he could usually be found in my parents kitchen at lunch time talking to my mother and father about politics or sports. I remember how at a party at my house one night, he spoke so convincingly in favour of hunting, that a squeamish friend of mine from the city began to see merit in the sport. He spoke his mind, often seeing things that other people couldn't, but was always courteous and never offensive. When I think of him, I see his great, but shy smile, his curiosity and I think of his undaunted cheerfulness.Take care,Ann
