Nancy Almeda Knorr

Nancy Almeda (Herrington) Knorr passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Nancy was born May 4, 1939, in Saint John, NB. She was the wife of 53 years to Doug Knorr, who died May 6, 2015.

Nancy is survived by her son Craig Knorr, sister-in-law and best friend Lorraine Herrington; niece Pat Lively (Alan) and her children Karyn Fillmore (Peter), Mike Lively (Jessica) and their families, and niece Pam Herrington (Tim Bailey) and her daughter Avery Burnside (Alex Curran).

Nancy is predeceased by her parents George and Edith (Babe) Herrington and her brother Byard Herrington.

She was a graduate of Saint John High School and retired from the Canadian Patrol Frigate Program. Nancy was an avid curler at Thistle St. Andrew and Carleton Curling club and severed as President of the Ladies at both clubs. She also lawn bowled at Seaside Park.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of The Good Shepherd and served as President of the ACW as well as many other offices in the group.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held from Castle ‘Fallsview’ Chapel on Tuesday, November 30, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations in Nancy’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all of those, 12 and over, attending the Visitation and Memorial Service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued ID, or proof of medical exemption.
